Good-bye my friend.
We have been through many things,
But now it seems we have parted ways.
I will not hold on
When there is nothing to grasp.
You have choosen a path,
That no longer collides with mine.
Thank you for all that you have done.
You gave me hope when there was none.
You taught me to believe and trust.
You loved me when no one else could.
You were my shoulder to,
Cry, vent, lean on.
But I fear,
I have woren out my welcome
And must move on.
I will never forget you.
Those caring, funny, thoughtful words,
That brought so much meaning into my life.
The time we spent together,
Shall be cherished for a life time.
They ask,
Is it better to have loved and lost
Or
To never have loved at all.
The answer is the first,
For all the obvious reasons
And some hidden.
I wish you luck in life.
