There are several reasons why this could be happening to you. If your computer isn't a fast computer, then it can have problems displaying data quickly. That could also be your memory or hard drive in your computer if they are used up when you are trying to chat. Then there is your ISP that connects you to the internet. If they are not using fast server computers, then that slows down everything you are doing. Also, there are a few times a week that the search engines are scanning USM for story links to put into their search engines, like Google, Lycos, Alta Vista ... etc. If that is happening when you are trying to chat, then that could cause a slow down. But if it happens to you all the time, then I would check your computer speed, memory, hard drive space or ISP speed. |
