when my world is deep and cold,
my clouds are thick and bold.
the rain cleans me of spirit,
and my soul dragging in my shoes.
i know the sun is always there
but nothing i can do to make it shine through.

thats what you do,
thats what you are.
a brilliant burst of sunshine,
a great sense of warmth.

i once wished upon a star,
a distant star, so bright.
the dream - did it come true,
i could never really tell.

but now i have a star
shining brightly in my sky.
a star unlike any other,
a star only i can see.

i had a wish.

without knowing it,
you fell from the sky.
my bright star from up above,
is now here for me.
and my wishes i haven't yet dreamt,
are being fulfilled,
every minute,
every second,
by a person; so bright, so warm,
i have you - a wish come true.
