< <"Article WASHINGTON The Pentagon says that Halliburton will repay the government for overcharges estimated at $27.4 million for meals served to U.S. troops at five military bases in Iraq and Kuwait last year, but the company has not admitted to any wrongdoing." . Did anyone else notice when this came out in the news around the 1st of February, and if you did, did you find it just a little "illegal". And do you notice that Halliburton admits to NO wrongdoing? As in, don't even think about pulling an Enron raid on this company? I also don't know if anyone remembers the bill or whatever it was called that was passed in 2001 with dear Pres.Bush in office that took away the free and reduced breakfast and lunch privaleges of many many military families children, due to a little "accounting mishap". And, this was right when we were sending the military fathers to Iraq. Last summer, they passed a "temporary" bill to correct this oversight (2 years later). So, I guess what I am saying is, that while Halliburton was busy "accidentally" overcharging the military in Iraq TWENTY-SEVEN MILLION DOLLARS for ONE YEAR, many of our military's children were doing without adequate food.

God Bless George Bush and his morals! Sorry for the sarcasm, but I just think Chaney has taken GWB for a fool, and has created one of the most corrupt presidential governments in recent and non to recent years. What do you think?

Date: 3/4/2004 4:53:00 PM  From Authorid: 60052    How do you "accidentally" over charge THAT MUCH money? Sheesh!
Date: 3/4/2004 5:01:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 27403    I agree, Mercury! I was just being nice and trying not to start another war! And, To Die For, your reaction was exactly like mine! And NO ONE even notices or talks about it! I mean, what happened to the deal where Halliburton was charging the miltary something like $1.00 a gallon or liter for gas in Iraq, while Iraqi gasoline was selling for $.20 a gallon or liter, BUT our miltary HAD to buy from Halliburton, no matter what it costs. That STINKS to high heaven and does anybody say anything? Nope, just brushed right under the carpet. My belief is if they even did one-half the investigating of this administration that they did to the Clinton administration, half of the present executive branch would be impeached AND go to jail! Money talks, and that Bush money has done a LOT of talking, IMO! Love and Light
