< <"Article WASHINGTON The Pentagon says that Halliburton will repay the government for overcharges estimated at $27.4 million for meals served to U.S. troops at five military bases in Iraq and Kuwait last year, but the company has not admitted to any wrongdoing." . Did anyone else notice when this came out in the news around the 1st of February, and if you did, did you find it just a little "illegal". And do you notice that Halliburton admits to NO wrongdoing? As in, don't even think about pulling an Enron raid on this company? I also don't know if anyone remembers the bill or whatever it was called that was passed in 2001 with dear Pres.Bush in office that took away the free and reduced breakfast and lunch privaleges of many many military families children, due to a little "accounting mishap". And, this was right when we were sending the military fathers to Iraq. Last summer, they passed a "temporary" bill to correct this oversight (2 years later). So, I guess what I am saying is, that while Halliburton was busy "accidentally" overcharging the military in Iraq TWENTY-SEVEN MILLION DOLLARS for ONE YEAR, many of our military's children were doing without adequate food.
God Bless George Bush and his morals! Sorry for the sarcasm, but I just think Chaney has taken GWB for a fool, and has created one of the most corrupt presidential governments in recent and non to recent years. What do you think?
