All I ever wanted was to feel the deepest pain,
To tear at my soul and bind my hopes forever,
All I ever asked for was to never sleep again,
To curse the stars and emptiness forever

All I ever dreamed of, was a dream that could be true,
To shatter at my fingertips and disappear,
Into the nothing that is everything, the nothing that is you,
To show what might have been and disappear,

All I could have hoped for was to say what I have said,
To feel some empty space that I might find,
For all the lives I never lived, to heal the wounds that never bled,
To wonder who would care another time,

All I ever fought for was to feel the perfect sorrow,
And know that all my blood had been in vein,
And shiver at thought of one more lost tomorrow,
And suffer every crushing blow again.

All I ever wanted was for you to be happy.
