back and forth S&S

I try and try
To keep you pleased
To watch what I say
But now I’m on my knees.

You pull my heart back and forth
To the point when I want to surrender
Over and over the same scene plays
And it constantly pulls me under.

I don’t know why I don’t just let go
And move away
But with that comes heartache
So that’s why I stay

Broken and broken again
Like a glassman on a shelf
I start to believe in you once more
To only disappoint myself

You pull my mind back and forth
Through your apologies and pain
Over and over the same scene plays
So many times to drive someone insane

You are my friend
And I care a lot
But when is the time to forgive you
And when is not?

I don’t want to be your yo-yo
Playing with my thoughts, up and down
I don’t want to be used
And end up your little clown

This is how I truly feel
That’s why I write these words
Not much you can do
But I know that I’ve been heard.
