Date: 3/3/2004 8:12:00 AM From Authorid: 62118 Sometimes they wish to be ignorant |
Date: 3/3/2004 8:40:00 AM From Authorid: 22275 let them feel that way you know what you meant by it and you have nothing to prove to them. |
Date: 3/3/2004 8:49:00 AM From Authorid: 62518 You really don't need to prove anything. Some ignorant people just don't know better, or don't know much in general. If you want to talk to these share YOUR opinion with them, but don't state it in stone as the one and only view of the universe. For example instead of correcting someone you believe is wrong, just share your VIEW on it. Conversation is more than just converying facts. |
Date: 3/3/2004 9:33:00 AM From Authorid: 62334 I am clueless to just about everything.Nine times out of ten things go way over my head. Most people I deal with just explain them to me. My husband always breaks things down for me and doesn't think twice about doing so (yup he knows his wife is a ding bat) The rare times I just be nice and let them talk meanwhile its going ""wosh" over my head. |
Date: 3/3/2004 11:14:00 AM From Authorid: 62060 I show them my shotgun... |
Date: 3/3/2004 2:53:00 PM From Authorid: 10722 I change the subject..sometimes some things aren't worth my time arguing over. |
Date: 3/3/2004 3:50:00 PM From Authorid: 47296 I take it with patience and use it as a chance to educate another poor misguided soul. |
Date: 3/3/2004 3:53:00 PM From Authorid: 45630 with patience but understanding when they take the facts from you and interpret them differently. |
Date: 3/3/2004 3:57:00 PM From Authorid: 58809 It's met with frustration very often. Try to explain and you lose the person mid-sentence...the gleam goes from their eyes. I usually know who I'm wasting my time on and so just move on to a different subject. Bleh...I let them be. Hey, Ignorance is bliss. |
Date: 3/3/2004 3:59:00 PM From Authorid: 62367 The best way is patience. If the person gets mad or impatient just walk away from the conversation. |
Date: 3/3/2004 5:02:00 PM From Authorid: 42945 Patience is a virtue!!!!! hugs |
Date: 3/3/2004 5:30:00 PM From Authorid: 22080 i attempt to educate |
Date: 3/3/2004 6:34:00 PM From Authorid: 44960 Ignorance is the result of a closed-mind. There is little or no chance of dealing with ignorance until the persons mind becomes open. It takes a tremendous amout of patience to tolerate the ignorance of others. Reasoning never works with ignorance, so don't even try it. These people are usally constitutionally incapable of accepting anything that goes against thier pre-conceived belief. If these people are to ever be educated, they first must find humility. Most of the time, thier ego's prevent this from happening. Sad, but none the less true. |
Date: 3/3/2004 10:08:00 PM From Authorid: 62422 well i can say that ive been treated like crap by many people in my lifetime and when somebody treats me like this i just walf away. cyndi. |
Date: 3/3/2004 11:22:00 PM From Authorid: 16671 I think you know alot, but to answer your question when someone really wants to know the answers one should be ready and willing to take the time to explain it to them. |

Date: 3/4/2004 10:21:00 AM From Authorid: 48452 Honestly I would have to say it would depend on the persons level of arrogance. If they are to arrogant patience might be a hard thing to have. Besides if everyone knew everything what fun would that be?-SW |

Date: 3/5/2004 11:03:00 AM From Authorid: 9130 Depends. For example, some people refuse to see the truth and prefer to live in a fantasy world. I eventually get frustrated with people like that. I am more patient with those that have a genuine interest in exploring ideas other than their own. |
Date: 3/5/2004 4:12:00 PM From Authorid: 2030 The problem is the people that are ignorant yet firmly believe they are right and you can't change their minds. Lots of those around. |

I Always Try To Deal with those who may be less knowledgable with Patience and Understanding.. The way I have Always believed, "If You Do Not Know Something, Ask, There's No Such Word as A Dumb or stupid Question"...T/C... |
Date: 3/10/2004 12:43:00 AM From Authorid: 51070 At first with patience, but if they are still acting like idiots and 'don't get it', I tend to get a little frustrated. |
Date: 4/4/2004 3:12:00 PM From Authorid: 4144 most people get fed up and tell me i'm a moron! kiddin........i guess patience is the only way to go. |
