Girl Scout cookies...........4moons

It's that time of year again, the time of year when cute little Girl Scouts are starting to sell their delicious girl scout cookies. Yummmmmmm. As I am typing this post, I am eating my favorite girl scout cookies, thin mints. Although they may be a little overpriced, at $3.50 a box, I still buy at least one box a year to support the Girl Scouts, (and for other reasons...) Does anyone here ever buy Girl Scout cookies? If so, what type of cookie do you like?

I really wish they would sell them year around, they are SO delicious, I can't stop eating them! Somebody help!

Date: 3/2/2004 8:32:00 PM  From Authorid: 24732    They do sell them year round, they are called "fudge mint cookies" and they sell more cookies per package for a cheaper price then $3.50. Of course when you buy anything as a fund raiser it's a rippoff.

Date: 3/2/2004 9:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 53836    They were over-priced...all over Texas I've been buying from the girls this year, and everywhere they sell for $3 a box...you've been ripped off...My favs are thin mints and their newest, the double fudge chocolate chip...but you sure don't get many. My hubby and I figured that between us, we've bought $45 dollars worth just this year!!! We're bonkers for GS cookies
Date: 3/2/2004 9:23:00 PM  From Authorid: 53836    the lemon cookies are most pleasant...if you have never tried them you are missing a real treat...but the GS's have the right idea...unlike the BS's that sale popcorn as if it were gold...granted, it's delicious and we always buy at least two tins every year, my son and I had a hard time selling to others this year due to the price.
Date: 3/2/2004 9:25:00 PM  From Authorid: 13546    I LOVE the mint ones.. *drool* omg.. YUM! I want some now..
Date: 3/2/2004 9:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 5252    i like the mint ones also, it was awesome when i worked at the girl scout camp, it was my first job, but that was like all we got to eat...mmmm!
Date: 3/2/2004 9:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    SC we tried those new ones this year. I didn't care for them too much cause they were too crunchy
Date: 3/2/2004 10:02:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62423    They are always coming ou with new ones, they have only kept a couple of the originals. ~4moons
Date: 3/2/2004 10:32:00 PM  From Authorid: 6867    i haven't had a girl scout cookie in a long time. I don't recall the name, but I used to LOVE the square ones with the hole in the middle, and they had caramel, coconut and fudge stripes, what were those called? Man those were sooo good. I like the thin mints, and shortbread. do they even still make the shortbread ones? Love yourself,
Date: 3/2/2004 11:05:00 PM  From Authorid: 45684    Thin mints are DA BEST!

Date: 3/3/2004 4:00:00 AM  From Authorid: 53155    yes we just bought 3 boxes 2 days ago, we got thin mints, tagalongs and 1 box of their new ones double dutch, since i cant eat them im not sure what the double dutch taste like but the family loves them they are chocolate chocolate chip, they look good lololol.
Date: 3/3/2004 7:29:00 AM  From Authorid: 23075    I've tried the girl scout cookies...and I don't like them.
Date: 3/3/2004 8:10:00 AM  From Authorid: 62334    They were 4.00 per box last year out here too. I think here in Ca they go for 4.00 a box thats so unfair too On a plus note my son the picky eater loves the thin mints yes its not healthy but he ate something so I am happy
Date: 3/3/2004 9:49:00 AM  From Authorid: 11240    O.K. I've got CASES of them. Why? Because I am my Brownie's Troop Cookie Mom. She opened a box of Thin Mints yesterday and we wolfed down a whole sleeve of them in less than five minutes. BTW, they and the Trefoils really are the best value. The order sheet tells how many cookies are in each kind of box and you're right, Space Case, three dollars is a lot to pay for 17 cookies (but you dind't hear that from me. God Bless.
Date: 3/11/2004 4:29:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62423    They really should give you more cookies in the cases. ~4moons

Date: 3/16/2004 5:02:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62423    Tagalongs and Samoas are okay, but nothing beats thin mints!
