A Cats Pause

***********************************

A feather floats from high above,
to tantilize my curiosity.
The urge to pounce it before it lands,
Challanges my impetuosity.

My paws ,I'm sure, are dirty now,
I think I shall lick them clean.
My God, that tasted really bad,
Have a look!AmI turning green?.

It seems to me there really is'nt
Enough hours in the day,
To catch up on the sleep I need,
Just leave me where I lay.

My master doesn't understand
When I rub against her leg,
That I really need a bowl of milk.
My God don't make me beg!

I chase my tail when I'm alone
and I don't care what you say.
I will entertain my frisky mind,
When no one wants to play.

A hair ball's lodged with in my throat,
I think I'm going to wretch it.
Then leave it for the dog to find
and tell him,"Boy,go fetch it!".

My favorite time of day is night,
At dusk I leave to prowl.
At least I'm not like that smelly dog,
Who can only bark and howl!

My master brought me a catnip toy.
I found it quite the treat.
But when I tried to walk around.
I couldn't feel my feet.

I really hate my litter box,
especially when I get wet.
It clumps and sticks onto my paws,
I'm still trying to forget.

A kitty needs a lot of love,
Just to make it through the day.
But we give it back when you hear us purr.
So if you're nice we will let you stay...
