You know the feeling. You are waiting for an expected check in the mail or by some other means and then you find there is a wrench in the works... Drives me up the wall!
My daughter is in college. Tomorrow was to be the day of disbursement of excess funds from grants and loans. So, today I call to make sure her paperwork is all lined up and all is well. I am glad I called. They give me this when they come in the second semester, as she has, it is disbursed in two payments. The first goes to her bill and then the second which will be disbursed MARCH 22 goes to her account balance and then the balance goes to her. My jaw dropped to the floor. That is not what she was told.
So, I'm sitting here going, "Great, I just promised the gas company their money by Friday and I have Rx to pick up..." So, I called my bishop at church and he will help me out. I don't know what I would do without the church in these times.
What about you? Doesn't that just make you crazy when these things happen? I am just glad I did not write any checks ahead depending on it being there tomorrow. Somebody must have been sitting on my shoulder warning me not to...
ARGH!!!
I am reminded it could always be worse as I read an e-mail from a friend who has just sent a daughter-in-law to Iraq and a son is on his way over.
