Date: 2/17/2004 7:40:00 AM From Authorid: 62086 same thing happened to me on a plane, the stewardess said they all get it, and here is how to take the pressure off,-- she took a piece of guaze, or you could use a paper towel or napkin, put it in a small glass or styrofoam cup if u have one, then run your hot water till it gets steaming hot. Put a little in the cup , just enough to soak the guaze pad, or napkin. Holding the cup or glass, ease your ear over the mouth of it till it is against your head.{caution; tilt your head, not the cup--or you could get a little bit of hot water on ya, ouch!} The steam & heat coming out of the cup will open your ear back up. It sounds crazy, but my ear popped like a piece of bubble wrap, in 5 mins. You may have to repeat the procedure a couple of times. |
