Sitting beneath this willow tree, Bare in skin I be. I begin to dream forbidden dreams, Soothing in comfort it seems.
So with my eyes closed, My lips wetted by the rain. I see what the future has in hold, As I scream from such foreseen pain.
The past has left, To never return. My blood stalls, As from love my heart burns.
Shivers circulate my body, The whispers heard through my ears. And from these predictions come these reactions, As from my eyes stream down these tears.
How I wish for better days, Praying in every way. That maybe as we get older, Discovering peace we may.
But all that I could do, All that this life has allowed. Is to look within my inner core, And see that there lies hurt and nothing more.
