nah wear your fancy dress and turn heads!! be the bel of the ball so they say.... i would rather stand out in very dressy wear then show up in jeans and find out everyone else is dresses up  |

Why not wear what you bought? So what if everyone else is going in jeans...its always fun to be different  Maybe you could wear what you bought and tone down the shoes? Its really hard to say since I cant see what this outfit looks like =) Call the guy and ask him what he is wearing, that you heard differently on what you thought it would be. Doesnt hurt to ask. I'd make sure that everyone else is REALLY wearing jeans (casual). If you show up in jeans, and everyone else is dressed up, that won't be cool!! That sucks that you went to all this trouble to find something to wear and now this! But you BETTER HAVE FUN!!!   |

I would rather be underdressed than over dressed ANYDAY!!! You can always pull off "casual", but being the only really dressed up person in the crowd feels horrible!!! Take the shoes and a the black shirt and maybe wear the fancy top if it's not "too much", and just wear a cool pair of jeans! Believe me, you will be a LOT more comfortable mentally! I actually don't know! :0). Do you have an outfit that is sort of the middle. You know one that isn't too casual, but isn't too dressy either? Lately around here I've seen people wearing heels w/ cargo pants. Whatever you decide, be sure to have fun :0)  |
