**Update** What Do You Do If Your Boss Doesn't Pay You?

Well my fiance's boss finally gave him a paycheck on Thursday, but another problem surfaced that day. The first paycheck that Mark received from his boss, bounced. My bank ran it through twice and there was insufficient funds both times.

Well, with his payroll check bouncing, it caused our back account to go into the negative. Our back account was $170 in the negative. That even counts all the fees that the back applied to our account. We even got charged $20 to have Mark's bounced payroll check sent to us.

Well we got everything taken care of now. His boss cashed his 1st (the one that bounced), and the 2nd payroll check, and gave Mark the cash. Tomorrow, he's supposed to get his next payroll check. I hope he gets the check because I don't want to wait another 5 or 6 days to get his check. If we have to wait for another paycheck like we did this past week, I'll have to put my foot into the problem and have a talk to his boss myself.

With raising 2 kids, we can't wait to get paid.

Thanks for listening

**hugs**

Date: 2/8/2004 6:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 53360    That good that he finally got paid, but id make the boss pay for the bank charges caused by all this, and find another job asap.
Date: 2/8/2004 7:00:00 PM  From Authorid: 54987    Seems like his boss is experiencing some business problems and it may just be that the job may disappear. Ask for cash instead of checks and get his resume ready so he can start looking and applying for other jobs. I wish you well.
Date: 2/8/2004 7:05:00 PM  From Authorid: 51292    I have the same problem lol If you saw my last post youll know all about it. Ive worked for the same guy for three years and for the past year things keep getting worse..if the boss is having money problems or somthing like that..its always hard to get paid..Its best to not work for people like this it will save you a lot of headaches..8o)
Date: 2/8/2004 8:32:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    oy!! sheesh.... maybe that is why he put off paying him... no money in the account... honestly if it happens again your hubby should start looking for another job... that just isnt right... why can't managers realise that people often depend on thier paycheck and cannot wait for weeks to be paid on thier convince... i'm sorry this happened to you... i hope his boss(and many other bosses) realises that many people don't work "for the joy of working only" they work to be able to pay the bills
Date: 2/8/2004 8:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 54570    Find another job... Even if it is McDonalds!!! At least you know thier checks are good to degree. Even if it is low pay at least it is a source of income and it wont cost you 20 to get the check
Date: 2/8/2004 11:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 51049    Did the boss pay for the fee that it costed to have the bounced check sent back to you? I think he should have. Hopefully something like this does not happen to you again.
