This song’s so hard to write,
And yet so easy too,
I could go on for pages,
About my love you,
I think about you night and day,
But I can’t write in on a page,
I want to be in your future,
I want to know your past,
Do you think we’re meant to last?

I dreamt about you again last night,
Come lie with me, turn off the light,
Lay right there: Do you feel my heart?
Don’t let our bodies break apart,
Hold me close, now fall asleep,
So that you won’t feel me weep,
Because nothing can last forever,
And we won’t always be together,

This song, it says so little,
Yet it says so much too,
I’ll never be able to pinpoint,
My exact feelings for you,
I want to be with you night and day,
Do you feel the same way?
Did we move too slowly?
Did we move too fast?
Do you think we’re meant to last?
