Time To Say Goodbye

I thought I truly made you feel bad,
But you were just being fake.
You said you hated everyone,
And that you needed a break.

I thought you meant from everything,
But it seems you just meant from me.
I think this friendship is over,
But I’m not going to blame me.

I feel like I’m partly brainwashed
The things you say in my head.
But those things seem to be lies,
You don’t really want to be dead.

Now I’m realizing every word you spoke
Was nothing but a selfish lie.
And because I’m tired of it all,
It’s time to say goodbye.
