Does anyone remember this children's TV show? .....Rumpleteazer

Okay, if I remember correctly, it was on PBS... or one of those public access channels that everyone gets. With all the kids shows on TV until about 1 pm? yeah, that's the one.

It was a show with a bunch of cat puppets. If anyone remembers Eureka's Castle, or Puzzle Place, it's puppets like that. Sort of big Muppets.. Anyway, I think there was an orange tabby (tomcat), and a grey tabby and a tan cat (queens). I think one of them was named Tabby. Typical, huh? They dressed in human clothes and did human things, but they were cat puppets and they lived in this house with each other.

And I don't know if this is the same show, or a different one, but I remember a blue cat - a BEATNIK CAT - in a tree with a guitar.. a blue cat! His name was Riff.

Does anyone know what I'm talkin' about?!?

Date: 2/4/2004 11:54:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 56410    Yes, Allegra's window is correct! >< And Puzzle Place was just about a bunch of different kids living in a house to teach viewers little morals and stuff. YOu know, like ALL kid shows! My favorite episode was the one where Leon is obsessed with the cruller donut.. Why I remember that is beyond me.. and a little scary. And who DOESN'T remeber Eureka! Magellan was the best! Him and his blankie and worms...
Date: 2/5/2004 12:28:00 AM  From Authorid: 50193    I remember Eureka's Castle quite fondly.

Date: 2/5/2004 1:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 62408    Well, I don't quite remember that one, but I can somehow see it in my mind... now that's going to drive me crazy. <granted, it will be a short drive, but still> LOL. But here is a list of childrens shows I do remember while growing up this would be a time span probably between '81 and up, as I was born in '78, and didn't really get interested in the TV until around age 3 or so. So in both PBS and non PBS: Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, Captain Kangaroo, Zooboomafoo, Electric Company, Lamb Chop's Playalong, Elektra's Castle, Muppet Show, Fraggles, Allegra's Window, Puzzle Place, Square One <loved the Dragnet spoof "Mathnet">, Carmen Sandiego
Date: 2/5/2004 2:12:00 PM  From Authorid: 12453    I liked batty and the moat twins and the singing fish off of Eureka's Castle. Yall remember watching Under the Umbrella tree? Them were the good ol' dayz.
