This month at my children's school, they're having a fundraiser for the organization called Nathan's Battle. Nathan Milto and his younger brother P.J. Milto
After Nathan was diagnosed with LINCL, his parents created the organization, Nathan's Battle. The organization has found a cure, but they don't have the fund to distribute the cure to Nathan, P.J., and the other 40 children diagnosed with LINCL.
Center Grove Elementary (the school that Nathan has attended and P.J. currently attends) is having a faundraiser to help raise the fundings for surgeries and hospital costs associated with administering the drug to the children.
They're asking for donations starting at $1. For everyone that donates money, they will put a smiley face outside my daughter's classroom (P.J.'s too) to show how many wonderful people there is out there. All donations to this fundraiser is tax deductible.
I was posting this story because I think this is a really good cause. In the first day alone (which was Monday 2/2/04), the school has raised $1,642, and the total has continued to grow. I'll update everyone n the total of donations every Friday.
