the reason bad things happen to good people is because they are usualy not the cause of these things but are the intended victoms of others . wooden nickel |

Hi TDF, IM so glad to hear that You have found a way to look at things in a way that helps You deal with the trauma from the past. I only wish that I could apply Your formula to the circumstances of my own life but it doesnt work in my case. Take Care, keep thinking positive and carry on. Bye for now. Enki |

yes and no. I have lived a life much like yours. My biological mother is a drug addict and always will be! she and her split personality are too much for me to deal with! so i choose to be on my own with no contact with her and her family. cyndi. |

Probably did. My favorite book is "When Bad Things Happen to Good People" by harold S. Kushner. I am not Jewish - but this book is inspirational and one chapter is called, "God Helps Those Who Stop Hurting Themselves." RAT |

I take the bad things in my life, and I am blessed to go through them.. for they have made me the person I am today. Yes... I would NOT be who I am.. if I didn't go through.. all of those things that seemed so horrible at that moment.. Great post. |

yes it has but i don't have time to tell even part of it right now! you really have a good attitude and i think more people should think your way instead of using a hard time to excuse the bad things they do. |

This is a very good post. Has a bad experience saved me? Hmmm...I fell out of a moving vehicle when I was 8 and ever since I lock my doors and wear my seatbelt. |

I don't get how your mother could have abused you, though. You seem like a wonderful person. |

Thanks for sharing. How old were you when you were taken away? Have to agree families are great - mine sure pitched in when my mother died at my birth - they didn't always get along, but they loved me and I loved them. Took a long time to realize I did not have to pick one of four mothers over the other - LOVED THEM ALL! rat |
