I know YOU have moved on with your life, and I know it doesn't include me-
and with that I also know: I should be satisfied with the fact that I'm free.
I know I've had plenty of time- to face up to the facts,
but it still doesn't change the truth, and the truth is I want you back.
It's a bit easier now, I guess, at least I didn't bend-
I've faced the obstacles life's thrown at me and I've accepted the end.
I've spent many lonely times with teardrops on my face,
But I'm proud of how much love I have for you- even though someone else has taken my place.
This has been a test for me, laid out by my LORD-
I have broken his commandments so many times, I just can't break any more.
I wish nothing but the best for you- after all your choicess involve our little girl-
You have your reasons and explanations, it's your own little world.
We don't know how long we have, and my "PARTY" has come to an end-
You've given me the greatest gift of life, and she is my very best friend.
The hurt, in time, will subside- and I'll have what I want in life-
