Date: 2/1/2004 4:34:00 AM  From Authorid: 37449    My mom gets them.. she has a precription from her doctor for over the counter pills. She says they work really really really well. Whenever she feels one comming, she takes one. She hasnt had a really bad migraine in a long while.

Date: 2/1/2004 6:56:00 AM  From Authorid: 14780    I have a friend that when she doesnt eat right she gets migraines *just a thought*. Also, she takes some kind of migraine medicine thats over the counter. I would check out something more herbal..Im sure you could find out some info on the internet.

Date: 2/1/2004 10:44:00 AM  From Authorid: 16845    I've only had two in my life *Knock on wood* and I was significantly younger....never got to take anything for them because I passed out long before I could get to the medicine cabinet LOL
Date: 2/1/2004 12:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 6860    I used to get really bad migraines, and I went to the doctor and they detemined that it was related to my period, so I was put on Imitrex (or however you spell it). I knew when I was getting one, because I would get an aura in my right eye, I'd start to shake a little and then the right side of my body would go numb and tingle. This usually happened when I was at school, so of course I had to go home and I just layed down in a dark and quiet room with a warm washcloth over my face. It turns out that my migraines really weren't from my period, it was from me straining my eyes so hard to see. I went to the eye doctor for a checkup and I got a new prescription for my contacts, I haven't had a migraine since. I blame my eye doctor, I told him for almost 2 years that I had problems seeing and would like a stronger prescription, but he always told me that there wasn't a noticable difference between my last eye exam and my new one, so I could keep the same prescription, and that's why I had the migraines. Good luck with yours, I know how much they hurt!
Date: 2/1/2004 3:23:00 PM  From Authorid: 50864    I had one yeaterday I used to get them all the time now that I am older I don't have them as often. I used to have a perscrption when I was much younger but now I just load up on mortin They say in some cases a women age and get closer to the change they don't happen as often
Date: 2/1/2004 5:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 20956    i dont get them that often but when i do ... POW! they are killers. the only thing that i find helps me is to lay down in a dark room, take a Panadine Forte and try and sleep it off. Panadine Forte tends to make me drousy anyway, so they help to get me off to sleep. sorry, cant be much more help. if you are getting them reguarly though, you may want to get things checked out with your doctor just in case
Date: 2/1/2004 8:36:00 PM  From Authorid: 61912    Yes I do, I used to take an anti-convulsant called "Topamax". It worked pretty good, I ran out one day and never got more though, I havent had a migrane since.
