YOur pastor isnt Beni Hinn is he? I have seen many healings and none last more than 5 minutes. I can say of all my years in church I have never really seen a true healing by the power of God. I have seen healing of the mind and spirit but never the lame to walk, the blind to see or the dead to be raised. The bible teaches that sickness is in the world because of sin. I once heard a pastor say " You can rid your body of sickness when you "Rid your life of Sin" Ah..... I think Jesus was the only human made perfect and without sin... |

I understand what you're saying but I'm like you I think. Even though you don't say so you want to believe. We know that Jesus "works in mysterious ways", right? Just keep an open mind...you never know until it happens to you! Peace, Greywolf |

I believe in psychic healing. In and of it's self it has nothing to do with any particular religion. |

I believe in healing because I have been healed several times for different ailments, so I know it can happen and that there really are true healers. However, just because someone is a preacher does not necessarily mean he is a healer too! Some people are very gullible and will believe anything that their minister tells them. If the treatment cures the disease/ailment and it STAYS cured then he/she is a healer... otherwise they are not. |

Healings, speaking in tounges were all done away with when the Apostles died off. If there are healings I would seriously consider the source. |

You don't believe that God can heal Pammy JO? Since God created our bodies, then He can certainly heal them when something goes wrong ! |

This is what I would suggest. The bible says very clearly that the same God of whom David said "You heal all my diseases" is the same God that was alive during the time of Christ and the Apostles, and is the same God that is alive now. To say that miraculous healings can't take place today is to place a limit on the God who made the universe and all therein from nothing. Now, how did Jesus heal the sick when he was on earth? He didn't shake and jump and scream and yell and push people to the ground and say "In the NAME of GOD be HEALED!!" No... he said "You have faith that I can do it? Good. Then get steppin, 'cause I just gave you new legs." What about the apostles of Christ? You didn't see them doing the kind of stuff you see on TV. No, when a begger who had been crippled since birth asked John for some money while on the steps of the temple, John said "Silver and Gold I do not have, but what I DO have I give you. Stand and walk." And the man stood and walked. In other words, the power of God doesn't require anything other than a willing person to work through. So, knowing that, just realize that God can in fact heal someone. As far as this "slain in the spirit" buisness goes, this is the way I see it from a biblical perspective: Remember when Jesus was taken from the garden of Gethsemeni by the mob of people? When the mob of people got there, they asked before taking Jesus, "Are you Jesus?" (I guess because it was dark in the garden), and Jesus said "I am He." Immediately when he said that, the people fell back on their backs! There are many other Biblical cases I could use to illustrate, but here is the point. It was the power of God in Jesus Christ that caused the mob of people to fall to the ground. When the power of a supernatural God comes in contact with a natural body, the natural body is going to give way to the supernatural. That sounds obvious. So note that it isn't the healing that comes through the person falling down! Not at all! It is simply God touching that person! However, none of that explains very much except for the real times that God does this in people. When you see something like that happen in a church, where the preacher just pushes the person back and they fall, then don't be offended, people are just used to that - it seems like that is what people expect nowadays when someone gets healed - they seem to think that the only way the power of an infinite God can reach a person is if that person falls to the ground. Let's say that you're at a church and the person comes by laying hands on everyone and everyone is just falling down. My advice would be to just go a little ways away and pray. Don't let something like that bother you. If an evangelist of God comes and lays hands on you to pray and you CAN'T stand, then you CAN'T stand, and what are you going to do about it except fall? Don't let this case at your church (fake or not) get in the way of having God do something in you. *ENDER* |

I find this to be fake as well. I saw a show on stuff like this and showing us how its all set up and fake and everything. Obviously my guess is the lady was definitely in on it...but then again...only they know the truth and its a shame if they are lying to have people believe like that. |

Since the churches have "rites and rituals" for everything else in their religious practices.. why then should we be surprised that they go overboard in trying to imitate "God's power" just for show? Dramatization does in no way generate Gods Power for the healing that is supposed to take place in the church ... but most of their followers do not know this and so when they see all this unnecessary " carrying on" happening... they assume that it is the real thing! What a sham! Unfortunately, when someone has been "hoodwinked" by someone like this who does not know what they are doing... then they have a tendency to believe that all who claim to be healers are scam artists... not so! |

Sorry that you feel that way. You may want to try to open yourself up a little more to Gods supernatural power. I've been healed by the power of God, I've seen others that were healed and I've prayed for people and they have been healed. I didnt believe the going down under the POWER either UNTIL it happened to me. IT may seem dramitic to you, but when those of us that see the power of God working, well,,,, we tend to get excited. |

These people make me sick, pure and simple, sick in heart and inside. All ehe prayers said by the bedsides of those I've known or attended to, I've never once witnessed a "miraculous" healing. Not one. Not a child dying from the ravages of cancer, or a child on life support from being beaten, abused and despite all efforts, died anyway. Why would there be a handful of "healings", the kinds that most medicines can control anyway, and none for horrific disease? These pastors are the worst of the lot, in my opinion, many times they suck the last remaining hope from human beings and drive home in a fancy SUV, to an upscale neighborhood, a nice home and they have no problem dealing with "God's will". It was meant to be, yada, yada, yada. These are the worst ones, I hope they DO have a "special place" to go to. |

As I said, I've stood by and watched many die, young and old, no miraclous healings can I give. Only medicine has ever made a difference in life expectancy and when there was no hope, there was no healing. |

It is like I said before, I have been healed of various ailments in my lifetime and at no time were there ever any "dramatics" present or even necessary. This then serves to prove that healing can be done without all the extra's.I find it strange indeed that for so many years the healing rites were removed from the churches , but have been brought back since the New Agers brought it out again! |

I absolutly believe in spontanous healings. Gifts from the Bible did not die off. But this does sound fake. Jesus was a lot more "low-key", and didn't use the theatrics. Neither did Paul, or the other Apostles. |

LPF, EVERY miracle healing that was done by Jesus and the apostles were ones which could be witnessed by multitudes of people. Jesus and the apostles through the Holy Spirit, raised the dead, walked on water, caused a fig tree to wither, turned water into wine, healed the blind that many knew were born blind, caused a withered hand to grow back instantly in front of many witnesses, struck two liars dead when they lied to God. Faith was not always required because dead people do not have faith. Every miracle that was done by the apostles were undeniable miracles. These miracles were done so that all would know that what they taught as the Word of God was indeed coming from God. Perhaps you should ask the person you speak of to show you an undeniable miracle just as Jesus and the apostles did before multitides. |
