Thanks Arion1 but I don't think I have time to read it and have my paper in at 8 on Monday and I'm not sure if it would have what I'm looking for anyway. In early Christianity the Pagans accused the Christians of stealing their religious beliefs and rituals. In the 2nd century Jusin Martyr in defense of the Church said it was Satan who plagerized in anticipation of leading people astray. Is Martyr's position supported by the Bible? I need Biblical references to support if his theory is possible, could Satan have forseen God's plan and done that. |

Satan does not exist in my religion... that is a made up deity so the Christians can blame their bad actions, thoughts or words on something else other than fessing up to their own mistakes, bad ideas, downfalls... example.. "The devil made me do it".. not true, think about it.. and as for God's Peeps, Lol.. well.. We are all God's People, we are all claimed at death as God's and are taken to God.. there is no hell fire... that was created to put fear into the masses so they would conform to the ways of man that had control in that era, as they wished you to follow them.. when your bible says to keep your eyes open, I wonder how many people do just that, or walk through life feeling like they have their eyes open.  |

Spirit says there is no such being as Satan, there never has been and there never will be! NO ONE has more power than God and when we credit the being that some call Satan with the same power that God has, then we are worshipping that being instead of God! Neither is there a literal fire burning hell where people who do not follow the Christian teachings will find themselves after their death.It is true that much of the Christian beliefs were borrowed from the Pagan religion and they have invented Satan and a burning hell to see to it that their followers will stay within the boundaries that the church has set for them! A so-called Satan has no power whatsoever over the earth.. we are ruled by the Natural Laws of God and we have been given free will... so anything that causes harm to others or distress in the world is caused by ourselves and no one else!  |

Some people may see Satan as a concoction of control...others as a simple reality. Me, I believe in God, and I believe in Satan...I don't however use Satans existance as a scapegoat for my own wrong-doings...to follow the path ahead of me not due to fear of Satan, but due to love for God...there is a big difference. well satan is mearly a figment of ones own mind, basically the temptations to avoid someting, ie lazyness, it was given a name and a image, for people to easlily understand way back when.so the power of your "satan" depends on how much you can endure by ignoring and going down the right path.
