There is a Little Girl

There's a little girl
standing at the corner stone
locked inside a trance
searching for her silence
in the breath of the wind
it flows through her skin
numbing the present pain.
She stands motionless
whispering to those unseen
trying to make sense
of shadows face.
Alone in a spinning world
she falls from her graces
and is taken into the cold
clining onto the warmth
that remains in her heart
The little one sheds a tear
not in remores for her plight
but for all those others
who have fallen before her
and refused to fight.
She holds the courage
of ten ferocious men
as she gets onto her feet
and chooses to live.

There's a little girl
standing at the corner stone
bruised and depleated
yet she stands strong
not going to be defeated
by the shift in time.
She brings strength now
to those who wish to let go.
Hands outstretched
take it into yours
do not fear your weight
her strength is limitness.
