No, that's not entirely true..we are just being realistic. We can't really offer up any really good advice because everyone's experiences and how they handle them are different..and we do empathize or we wouldn't reply. When we say "wait until.." we're just being realistic and telling you in our own way that although you are stressed now, that reality is life gets harder the older you get..so be prepared and find ways to try to deal right now. It's tough no matter what level you're at..and believe me, we still get the comments too.   |

Yeah, I guess people like to revel in the fact that they had a hard time in high school or college or anything at a higher level and that it could not possibly be compared to anything lesser. I actually think a few of my college classers are easier then ones of the same subject I had in high school, history for example. One of the most difficult classes was my history class in the 10th grade, that teacher just liked to give extremely hard assignments. Some were so obscure I don't even remember learning much in that class.  |

Not true Alien (at least in my case)..like I said, all people function at different levels..it's just what does one expect someone who has been through it already TO say if not for "wait until...", it's not a comparison or stating that what they are going through is of less hardship to them..just a way of saying "been there, done that, and it doesn't get any easier so hang on for the ride"...that's it. |

All through life you will get comments like this. "Just wait until you have a baby" "Just wait until you have another kid" "Just wait until....." It's just peoples way of saying there is more in life that will seem hard. Yes you are going to be stressed during exam time. No point telling you not to stress, better to stress a little than to be too cocky. But things will get better. And as much as you hate the "Just wait until...." line, I bet you will use it yourself once or twice in life. It's infectious!  |

I think people are just relating the "real" world to you. I always said these things to my kids too. My point was, don't gripe now, grab the bull by the horns and go for it, for in life, the older you get the tougher life gets. If you don't like the comments, complain, silently,p-l-e-a-s-e!Just venting a reply, don't get mad, tomorrow will be better I hope.  |
