I can honestly say I don't have any religous values or faiths. I'm just a free spirit. But I believe in karma and reincarnation. And that people should treat others no differently then how you want to be treated. |

Well, I believe in God and have since I can remember. I've doubted things at times with regard to God but that's because I'm human. My doubts haven't been whether or not he exists but were based on whether he was listening or punishing me. I rarely have those doubts anymore, guess it comes with age! I base many of my decisions in life on my beliefs and on my faith in God. I pray about things and trust that he'll show me what I should do. Great post and a great class to take too! |

I believe our souls originated in eternity with no begining and will exist in eternity with no end. All souls are connected on the spiritual plane. There are no past or future, only the present. Flesh is a temporal. Those whom we know but are no longer with us are in a different dimention. This dimention is what most religions refer to as heaven. Birth and death transports us into and out of this dimention. Aging is a byproduct of the physical vessel we are housed in. Pretty much what everyone else believes, I would imagine.Just worded a little differently. Is there a name for this belief? I haven't found a satisfactory name yet. You may pick one if you wish. woodshed |

hmmm, interesting comment Woodshed... What a fun class to be taking I am presently taking comparative religions which I presume is a similar class... Although I am confirmed Lutheran and am comfortable worshiping as such I would say that I am more or a non-denominational Christian right now... I do not wish to be subjected to any structure of religion other then what I feel must be true that there is a God and that (Jesus died for our sins) or at very least that the creator God does care about his/her creation.... Pretty open I suppose... |

I'm not exactly sure what I believe really..I have a "wondering" mind that feels the need to read and research other possibilities and not just one. I do believe that there is some type of highre power..just not sure exactly who or what. |

I haven't been really brought up with a religion or belief, so I'm kind of a dappeler(sp?) in all beliefs because I want to find a religion that is right for me. At the moment, my main thing seems to be reincarnation and that in each different life we live we have to learn a lesson...and our souls at one point learn all life lessons and then....I'm not sure.....I think about this a lot so it changes a lot. |

My experience and beliefs are Salvation in Jesus Christ, & Once saved always saved, i also feel that we are in the last days and most churches are apostate, corporate, or both.

Thank you all for your thoughts and comments! A lot of you shared some very personal opinions and beliefs and I thank you for that. There is truth within the world, and perhaps so many different paths to obtain it. The basic foundation of all faith is love. This brings me to what I believe, you were all kind enough to share your thoughts so I will share mine .... I believe in God, and Jesus to be the Son of God. I believe when Jesus died on the cross so did the past and all our sins, when He resurrected and joined God in Heaven, a new faith was born, and that was pure love. Jesus died for us out of love, and also saved us. That act of pure love defeated all evil that day, and satan lost. Love can come in all forms, and everyone can experience it, just as everyone can experience faith. Love is the most powerful force in the world, and I believe if people united in love, together all shadows and evil would be defeated. All doubts would be gone, all pain and suffering would mend. Perhaps, thats what Heaven is like.... Thanks for listening and thanks so much for sharing! (((hugs))) |
