I read this in a book of humor and wanted to share it with you guys. It gave me a really good laugh:)
While we still lived in Foster, City California, I had the following adventure: Seven houses down from ours is a park with a nice sandy beach. It is an attracctive little park which is heavily infested with snails. A few years ago, my wife and I were having a dinner party for all the major shakers and movers in our church. My wife was very excited about this and wanted everything to be perfect. At the very last minute , she realized that she didnt have any snails for hors d'oeurves for the dinner party, so she instructed me to run down to the beach with the bucket she was handing me to gather some snails. Very grudgingly I agreed, took the bucket, walked out the door, down the steps went past the seven intervening houses, through the park, and down to the beach. As I was collecting the snails, I noticed a neighbor, whom I hadnt seen in some time, strolling along side the water just a little further down the beach. I greeted her and we got into a long and pleasant conversation as the result of which I lost track of time. As the sun began to set, I realized that it was nearly time for my wifes dinner party!! So I scooped up as many snails as I could find and ran through the park and toward my house. I ran up the front stairs of my house, but I was in such a hurry that when I got to the top stair, I dropped the bucket of snails. There were snails all down the stairs. The door opened just then, and there was a very angry wife standing in the doorway wondering where Id been all this time. I looked at the snails all down the steps, then I looked at her, then back at the snails and said: Come on guys, we're almost there!
ROFLMAO!! Tooo funny. Hope you enjoyed this!
