Purple Beauty ~ faded to grey

Pale faces,
Star light dancing,
A thousand moons ago
The swirling dresses,
The intoxicating perfume,
The very atmosphere of love

Then out of the shadows he appeared,
Like a wave of purity
His clothes like no other,
His ivory face,
His silken hair,
And purple ice filled eyes

Sweeping onto the dance floor,
Taking my hand
As if in a dream
Twirling round and round
The music merging with us,
Until we became one

Know one had seen a better man,
Dance as well as him
Silently in one swift movement,
He left the dance floor
I was never again to dance with him
Though he still lives on in my heart.

(this is one of my favourite poems that I have written and I hope you like it to)
