well ive got a new friend and lets call him "dandruff" (lol) dandruff is bugging thee heck outta me. I mean i was my hair everyday... well every other day ill put conditioner in it, and then the other days ill just wet it. But the dandruff just keeps coming. When ever i scratch my head you see a ton of flakes fall out. ive tried using a special kind of dandruf shampoo once a week but it makes it even worse! and i dont put anything in my hair (like gel moose etc..) im getting so sick of the flakes cuz they are every where and its starting to tare my hair out! Anyone have any tips on how i can reduce the dandraff... i even go in once a month to get my hair cleaned by a perfessional (deep cleaning thing). But yeah it just keeps coming back!

Thanks! limegreen

Date: 1/19/2004 7:26:00 PM  From Authorid: 58334    The only thing I can suggest is those special shampoos they have for it. I used to have it and that's what I used and it went away :-)
Date: 1/19/2004 7:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 16845    which shampoo did you try?...I have bad dander and only found that Nizerol that works really well...I'd use it I'd say twice a week...I had some scalp issues and changed shampoos for one go round and am finishing up some T-Gel...doesn't work as well as the nizerol but it gets the job done...(I also wash my hair once a dya though)..
Date: 1/19/2004 7:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 62100    If I knew I would tell you..and if you find out, PLEASE for the love of God let me know!!! I think it's this cold weather drying scalps out or something..I really do, my dandruff has been AWFUL and I wash my hair every day as well. Now, I heard that some people can't do that cause it makes it worse, so I cut back to every other day for a while, but I see no difference.

Date: 1/19/2004 7:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    a hint... it's not good to wash your hair EVERY DAY your hair needs it's natural oils any hairstyleist will tell you that... also "dandruff" might be more then just dandruff eczema what is a medical condition that causes flaking of skin on most people it's just on the scalp, you should go see your doctor and ask about it
Date: 1/20/2004 6:54:00 AM  From Authorid: 42259    Personally i like dandruff and can't imagine why you'd want to get rid of it.But conditioner won't help.Get those over the counter shampoos from the pharmacy.Head and shoulders does nothing.
