your neighbors sound evil...if they have a pet, make the same threat...no matter how ridiculous it sounds, lol...go to local pet stores and see if you can get your dog trained or if they can reccomend something that would work |

wow, i had the EXACT SAME problem. i had a blond lab named Annie. she was an escape artist too. one of our neighbors called the cops on us and we had to give her away to a good home b/c we didnt want her put down. try the harnesses that go around the neck and shoulders, put it on really tight, or else they WILL get out. the only other thing i can think of if have you had your dog fixed? he may just be havin a bad day with the male hormone doggie thing and is looking for a lover.lol. try asking your vet too. thats all i can think of. peace n luv |

you talking in the yard?.....Been there done that...got a nice thick rope and a choke chain for my dog.....Might sound cruel and would only work if your dog is not outside ALL the time. *IE can come in when he wants*....if it's for 'walking' get a choke chain and a halti....they work nice...though people might ask if your dog is muzzled LOL i get that all the time...it is NOT a muzzle.. |

That's like accusing a baby of trying to assassinate the prez! Why would your neighbors do that? Anyway, I wish I had put a post like this once, because both of my dogs escaped and got hit by cars ... |

years ago i had a choc lab and she got loose all the time. we even put up an electrical fence and she still got out, paid alot of money for a harness she got out of it. the only thing that worked for me was a choker collar but make sure it has a swivel on it so it doesn't get knotted up, she couldn't get out of that for some reason. good luck to you. sounds like my dalmation has been reincarnated into your dog! we spent a whole saturday buring the invisible fence and she dug it up that night! i'm serious. i thought my dog was the devil. i had the police waiting on me when i came home once. anyway, we had problems walking her because she would DRAG us all over the neighborhood. we got a type of collar that goes on kinda like a muzzle but she could still eat, drink, bark and do all the doggie things. the leash snaps on under her chin and when you walk her she didn't drag anymore. it has something to do with you controlling how she turns her head. it sounds like doggie abuse but it's really not and it doesn't hurt at all. it puts you in controll. we got it through a vet catalog called foster-smith or maybe smith-foster. i'm pretty sure it's one of those names. it was about 15 dollars about eight years ago and my dog never broke it. she died last month and we still have the thing. see if they have a website. maybe they can send you a catalog. if you can't find it you can give me a yell and i'll see if i still have any around here. good luck! |
