LOL..that is actually kinda funny..and he is right, if he wants to use his name and add the word soft, it's his right..after all, it IS his name. I can see where he is coming from being angry for only recieving an offer of $10 to give up the rights to his name..what an insult. |

It can't be copyright. Isn't copyright the exact name, the exact stuff? That's his name, they're technically charging him for his own name! I like the dude's personality lol. |

That's bull. That is his name and he has every right to register the domain how he pleases. If it makes them so mad, then they should have registered it first. |

Copyright infringement is when someone has directly taken a name for their own purposes. In this case, it was Mikes name long before Microsoft used it, plus it's his name...not to mention that Microsoft and Mike Rowe are nothing alike in spelling except for the sound of it, an soft was added as a joke (I can see that.). I myself was enraged to read that they made him an offer of only TEN dollars to make him give up his own name!!! No one should be forced to give up their own name!! If you ask me, Microsofts lawyers are being a bunch of big babies that want a toy from another baby that they shouldn't be allowed to have. They're being rather selfish and pig headed, not to mention rude. Of course, this is just a humble, fellow teenager's opinion. ^_^ And American. ~ FE~ |

Something similiar is going on with Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. An older man already owned the license plate, "Fab 5" and they don't want to pay to use it. ~Satori Crush |
