Bad Influence

Hi everyone. i've been dating this guy for almost 6 months and for the most part, everything's been great. we have a difference of opinion on one thing but that hasn't been a problem at all. a few months ago, my boyfriend called me up and told me that he thought we should break up because he thought i was too good for him. well, four hours later he showed up at my work and asked me to take him back. i did and things have been great ever since. well, i was hanging out with him tonight when that time was brought up. then he told me that he did it because his friend kris was talking bad about me and stuff like that. nick, my bf, told me that since he's known kris for such a long time, he felt like since kris doesn't like me maybe he shouldn't either. well, this really bothered me because i don't like kris holding this much power over my bf. kris and my bf and some of their other friends have a bad habit that nick is finally trying to stop and he even had stopped but kris got him back into it. while my bf says he will stop, i sometimes wonder since he's around kris so much. i guess what i'm saying is why do guys let their friends have so much of an influence over what they do? i mean, nick loves me, and shouldn't that be enough? i know that kris is not a good guy, he talks bad about everyone, including his own girlfriend. i just don't understand or like the fact that nick can be so easily swayed by him. it makes me nervous. is there anything i can do? thank you all for reading this, i hope you have a good night.
