I am so scared cuz I don't know what to do. I have always been told to ask them questions to look interested and I can't think of any. Can you guys help me with them? The interview is at Wal*Mart. And do you guys have any tips on what i can do during the interview. Thanx for your help.

Be honest with your answers and listen carefully. You will think of some things once you get in there..especially when the interviewer starts talking. You need to make sure wages and hours are clearly stated and if they are not, ask.
Date: 1/18/2004 1:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 37101    I had my first job interview not too long ago. I was gauranteed a job in a month, although it's always possible I might not get the job. It was for Burger King, by the way. I asked my mom for advice and all she told me was to "Be yourself and tell the truth, because lying won't get you anywhere. If they don't like what you have to offer, the job isn't for you." So, hope it helps. -

Date: 1/18/2004 5:47:00 PM  From Authorid: 57653    Dress for the occasion. I am a HR Manager for a retail chain and I cannot count how many times people have showed up for an interview with me dressed down - jeans, old t shirts etc. It makes a bad impression so just go simple and look nice. The others in the post are right...BE YOURSELF. Relax, and be sure to make eye contact (I ALWAYS look for that one) and be sure to smile. Smiling is very important in retail, show them how great yours is! Good luck!
Date: 1/18/2004 9:32:00 PM  From Authorid: 5252    do not chew gum, go in with a smile, and just relax, do not fidget, or mess with your hair, or play with your hands, just act like you are at home or something, make direct eye contact. take something to write stuff down on, and the questions will come to you as the interview goes by...good luck!
