ABC's to OBE's: Can Classical Music Provoke your Brain to a Higher Level?........Donno

When it comes to the mind, process is everything. Quantum physics has shown us that solid objects aren't solid after all, they are patterns of energy. What was once labeled as a fear is no longer seen as a block in the mind but a process of habit that can be modified.

The nature of the mind is process. The mind is a blaze of dendrite connected neurons, firing synapses wildly upon brainwaves across the left and right brain. (1) When the brainwaves are synchronized into patterns and frequencies that model desired states of consciousness, you have the ability to provoke your brain into a higher order of functioning.

ABC's

In the early '90's a research project took place at the University of California, Irvine. The study, using the double-blind/placebo technique, discovered that a classical music composition was stimulating the subjects' learning and reasoning capabilities. (2) It was noted that certain key musical elements increased the subjects' focus and concentration, apparently through the re-synchronization of brainwave patterns.

As an explanation for the superior test results for those listening to Mozart, the researchers concluded that the music of Mozart helped to organize the firing patterns of neurons in the cerebral cortex, especially strengthening creative right brain processes associated with spatial-temporal reasoning. In other words, listening to Mozart's music exercises your brain. It improves your ability to concentrate and opens up your channels to intuitive leaps of the imagination.

OBE's

"My name is Anne and my first conscious projection experience was when I was 14 years old. This was a spontaneous mental projection which occurred while I was listening to 'classical music'. I was not familiar with astral or mental projection, but this experience started my life-long interest...", states Anne, a noted professional remote viewer (3).

In the 1960's, a graduate student from Denver (4) wanted to know how music (5)would affect growing plants. The plants (6) that thrived the most were the ones which received either Bach or Indian classical music, infact- the vines even grew to reach out in the direction the music was coming from.

Around the same time a Bulgarian scientist (7) discovered that when music was integrated with teaching of foreign words, students were able increase their ability to learn by as much as 300 percent.

I hope this helps those who need it and welcome your experiences as well. When the mind is brought back to it's original state love is all there is.

Date: 1/18/2004 11:27:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28363    Des, thanks for the feedback, these are preliminary findings and may need adjustment depending on further research.
Date: 1/18/2004 11:30:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28363    hi DMK, I know what you mean, so far I've only found the one Mozart soundtrack that has been tested.
Date: 1/18/2004 11:30:00 AM  From Authorid: 26733    Very true. Rhythmic sounds have been known to alter brains waves into specific frequencies. Chantras, Mantras ("oooooommmmmmm". It can take one person that is in the beta state (our normal everyday conciousness) into the alpha state (more relaxing meditative state). I have a really good astral trance cd that has subliminal messages in it. Good post, Matt aka
Date: 1/18/2004 11:32:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28363    I have a post about it, if that helps.

Date: 1/18/2004 11:36:00 AM  From Authorid: 48809    Yes, classical music can lift us into a higher vibration.... so can meditation and prayer. Science is beginning to see that a lot of things that they once thumbed their nose at is actually true! ALL is energy and everything has it's own rate of vibration.
Date: 1/18/2004 11:39:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 28363    Matt, that really helps tie in the concept. Thx
