unfortunately, they can only live well in clean hair.... i'd check with a doctor.. and then you'll have to get the shampoo for it, clean everything in the house.. its not pretty... |

If you were able to remove it easily from your hair it isnt lice hon. If it was lice it is hard to remove because the nits attach themselves to the hair follicles. You would have an itchy head as well..especially at the nape of the neck and behind the ears. Lice is attracted to a CLEAN head so it wouldnt matter how often you washed your head..they can still lay eggs in your hair. |

To be on the safe side, mayo works. My son got lice when he was in 1st grade. My doctor suggested using mayo on his head, real mayo not salad dressing. Put a ton on your hair then put a shower cap on if you have one, if not tie a plastic bag to your head. Leave the mayo in overnight then wash it out. You might want to say something to yor mom. If you have it she could get it if she uses your brush. It might not even be lice, better to have her look to make sure. |

oh, and also, if you want to loose your hair, motor oil works...and then you shave your head off. *shudders* that's what my grandma had to do when she was a girl. |

Well lice acctauly like clean heir so I have heard in some cases you can have silky soft hair cause you wash it like 2 times a day and they will be more likly to spread to that. They love it. But don't be embarrassed get yourself cheaked and get some sampo that kills lice in the chemist. I had lice when I was in year 3 and I rember all the things I went though cause of it kinda funny now that I think back lol. |

Do you use a lot of Gel, Mousse or hairspray? It is more likely just build up from styling products or since it is winter, dry skin. My hairline always dries out this time of year. |

If the white thing snaps when you press it with your fingernail it is a nit, nits are the eggs lice lay. Also nits are not easily removed from the hair, like they are almost glued there. |

Lice is actually attracted to clean hair. It doesn't mean you are dirty and it happens to lots of people *hug* - Mello AKA Lavender Wings |
