God omg i better not have lice, my head doesnt itch or anything but i looked in the mirror after my shower and there were a few white dots on my hair so i took one off and it didnt look like a lice but it was white it was sort of round or ovalish, is it just dandruff or could i have lice? and i dont wanna tell my mom or anything cuzz im embarrased i meen i wash my hair every day how the heck could i have lice? If i do and anyone finds out then il be considered unclean or gross, if its lice is there a home cure that will get rid of them like mayonaise or hunny or something *cries*

Date: 1/13/2004 3:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 37449    Sorry, I skipped a sentence! Yes, it could possibly not be lice!! Get someone else to check And hope for the best
Date: 1/13/2004 3:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 1799    unfortunately, they can only live well in clean hair.... i'd check with a doctor.. and then you'll have to get the shampoo for it, clean everything in the house.. its not pretty...
Date: 1/13/2004 3:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 11341    Did it come off easy or not?
Date: 1/13/2004 3:10:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 56297    naw it didnt
Date: 1/13/2004 3:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 62344    Ive heard crisco works well to get rid of lice. Luckily Ive never had to try it
Date: 1/13/2004 3:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 33925    If you were able to remove it easily from your hair it isnt lice hon. If it was lice it is hard to remove because the nits attach themselves to the hair follicles. You would have an itchy head as well..especially at the nape of the neck and behind the ears. Lice is attracted to a CLEAN head so it wouldnt matter how often you washed your head..they can still lay eggs in your hair.
Date: 1/13/2004 3:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 11341    To be on the safe side, mayo works. My son got lice when he was in 1st grade. My doctor suggested using mayo on his head, real mayo not salad dressing. Put a ton on your hair then put a shower cap on if you have one, if not tie a plastic bag to your head. Leave the mayo in overnight then wash it out. You might want to say something to yor mom. If you have it she could get it if she uses your brush. It might not even be lice, better to have her look to make sure.
Date: 1/13/2004 3:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 62249    I always heard lice live better in CLEAN hair...
Date: 1/13/2004 4:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 42464    Like everybody said Lice live better in a clean head my nahboors kids got it when they were younger we were taking care of them one day and we put RID in their hair along with mine and my sisters and the other 4 kids in the house just to be safe.
Date: 1/13/2004 5:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 61811    oh, and also, if you want to loose your hair, motor oil works...and then you shave your head off. *shudders* that's what my grandma had to do when she was a girl.
Date: 1/13/2004 5:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 62146    Well lice acctauly like clean heir so I have heard in some cases you can have silky soft hair cause you wash it like 2 times a day and they will be more likly to spread to that. They love it. But don't be embarrassed get yourself cheaked and get some sampo that kills lice in the chemist. I had lice when I was in year 3 and I rember all the things I went though cause of it kinda funny now that I think back lol.
Date: 1/13/2004 5:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 62146    if your head is itchy that is a magor sighn it acctaully sound like dandruf maybe your sclp has become weak from washing it every day I hear that is actaully bad for your scalp. Either way it dose not sound like washing it everyday is doing much good.
Date: 1/14/2004 7:50:00 AM  From Authorid: 15228    Do you use a lot of Gel, Mousse or hairspray? It is more likely just build up from styling products or since it is winter, dry skin. My hairline always dries out this time of year.
Date: 1/17/2004 2:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 44321    If the white thing snaps when you press it with your fingernail it is a nit, nits are the eggs lice lay. Also nits are not easily removed from the hair, like they are almost glued there.
Date: 1/17/2004 2:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 44321    when you press on a nit with your fingernail it will make a snap or crack sound.
Date: 5/8/2004 2:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 62679    Lice is actually attracted to clean hair. It doesn't mean you are dirty and it happens to lots of people *hug* - Mello AKA Lavender Wings
