My dog CAN talk LOL...I know exactly what she wants by her barks. If you ask her if she needs to go out she shakes her head and moves her front feet its hilarious!:~) Interesting post. Hugs&Cookies |

Well, they have now identified 78 different tones that elephants use to communicate to each other. They are of a very low frequency, and we cannot hear them right off and we use recorders to pick them up. Elephants, as do whales, have a real language that we can know for a fact and are beginning to decipher. Our next step with the elephants is to record more in Africa and Asia and see if any have different dialects. Pretty cool. That's a real part of your post. |

My cats definitely talk to me. Taliesin sleeps with me. He does not like me facing away from him and will do anything to make me turn over from pawing, mewing and leaving a nasty message that he is really mad at me. LOL |

My cat literally does talks to me, but in meows, her cat language. She will meow then I'll mimic her and she'll meow back to me. This can go on back and forth for up to five minutes. It's so funny to see and I'm the only one she will reply back to, she won't meow back to the rest of my familly. |

Gypsyhawk, that is so cool, how did you learn that? Iv'e always thought animals could speak to eachother, like cats and dogs. But, the idea really came to me when I was sitting outside listening to some birds chirping and I could hear two birds chirping back and forth to eachother like people will talk to eachother. |

Animals do have their own way of talking. People dont realize that what barking or chirping is. Its not a spasm people! ~CrazyKittie |

also when one horse neighs other horses will tend to neigh back, it's too bad we cant eavesdrop on what they're saying! |
