After reading Gopthic Angels poems abouther father I thought I might post somethign I had written about mine. I am in process of moving out and my father tends to push us kids out and then suddenly not remember. This came after I had been out one night and came home the next morning.
ignored for so long
will he wait till I am gone
for I am the third of three
in a few months I may just be free
his house to himself seems to be what he wants
for he kicked the other two out and forgot
he cant just be happy or even content
there always has to be something to make him vent
when I dont stay home
or when I am alone
he always has to yell
if only he knew how my spirits fell
I dont think he would care even then
for even at the age of fifty-two
he still only cares about how things would affect him too
this man is my father for this I am not ashamed
but hope that at his age I try to remember what used to keep me amazed
