The Trip to Maine that summer did Aurora some good. It gave her a chance to re-group and collect herself as well as a breath of Fresh air from her parents. Senior year was here, the time every Teen can't wait for, but Aurora felt as if it was impending doom for some reason.
"So what do I want to be when I grow up?" Said Aurora to herself on a laugh as she looked at herself in the mirror.
It was the first day of her senior year in school. There was no answer forthcoming, no dreams available. Maybe that was a result of living the way she did. Everything going downhill, never looking up, and if it ever did...she was prepared for the fall that was inevitable to come. Nothing stayed up for long in this house.
"$#@!, I'm gonna be late!!" Aurora exclaimed as she glanced down at her watch. Running to her room, grabbing her Backpack, Aurora quickly run's down the stairs and out the door. Sprinting up the block, Aurora had no time to stop when another girl came running out of her house not watching where she was going. Both Girls collided and hit the pavement with a loud "thud".
"Ouch!! Why don't you watch where the hell you're going!?!" Yelled the girl while trying to get up and gather her scattered Belongings that fell out of her handbag.
"SOrry about that, I noticed I was running late. Guess you are too huh? Let me help you."
The pair Hurridly gathered the belongings and quickly ran to the bus stop. The pair Barely made it, having to run up beside the bus as it started to roll in attepts to leave. They both were pounding on the bus' side. The bus stopped and the girls were rewarded with an angry glare from the Decrepid looking bus driver.
"You're Late" muttered the old crone of a woman.
"Yeah, tell me something I don't know" mutters Aurora under her breath. There is only one seat left on the bus, directly in back of ol' crone.
"Guess we gotta sit here" says the girl that collided into Aurora, with a groan.
"My Name's Aurora"
"Mine's Jessica, but everyone calls me Jessi." replies the girl while sliding into the seat next to Aurora.
"New to this school?"
"Yep, just moved in this summer. THis place is totally creepy & Awsome!!" Replies Jessi.
Of course, you would think so, Aurora thinks to herself. Jess is dressed in a Sheer black net shirt with a Bright read bra beneath it, a short red & Green plaid skirt, FIsh Net stockings, and Combat boots. Around her neck she wears a Skull and Crossbones. Her hair looks a tad grease and unwashed, her eyes lined heavily in Black Eyeliner.
"How long you been living here? I haven't seen you before." States Jessi while looking through her handbag, making sure everything was in order.
"I've been here for about a year & a Half now" Replies Aurora, while making side long peaks into Jessi's handbag without looking too obvious.
"I was visiting Maine this summer so that's why you didn't see me around. I live in the court that's nearest to the Creek"
Jessi looks up abruptly and stares at Aurora.
"Ever Hear anything out there?" Jess askes in a whisper, as if discussing some sort of conspiercy.
"SOmetimes, why?" Aurora states back in her ususal voice.
"Because I went out there this summer and heard stuff." Jess stated in responce.
"Like what?"
"Wrestling in the bushes when nothing was there & People talking who aren't there. Especially right at this grouping of tree's that Have burn marks on them. It's right Creepy. I love that *&^%!!!" States Jessi as she pulls out a Book on Wicca as well as the necronomicon.
"What is that?" Asks Aurora
"You've never heard of Wicca? Girl, you don't know what you're missing. Here, take a look!"
Aurora Flips through the first through pages and reads the rede of "Harm No one, do what you will" and then glances at the other book in Jessi's lap.
"For some reason I don't think that book goes with this one" AUrora states to Jess with a nod of her head towards the book.
Laughing, Jessi replies "Nope, it don't. This is the left hand path...Definately NOT wicca." and hands the book over to Aurora. Aurora opens the book to the first page and finds an Inverted pentigram staring at her in the face, and within it, the face of that of the goat.
