Current users of Yahoo's Instant Messaging application versions 5.6.0.1347 and below are vulnerable to a buffer overflow error that could let a hacker exploit vulnerability with Yahoo's Instant Messaging application. An exploit could be easily devised to allow a hacker to take over control of your workstation. Yahoo has recently released a new version of its Yahoo's Instant Messaging application that is supposed to fix this buffer overflow problem.
