A lonely girl dies
Of a broken heart
From a nonperfect family
Torn apart
The bruises and scars
Embossed on her skin
Her sorrowful heart
Letting nobody in
Gasping for air
Trying to breathe
Wanting to stay
Yet wanting to leave

At school she smiles
She jokes, she laughs
With make-up and clothes
She hides his craft
No bruises left
For you to see
Hidden from you
Hidden from me
The bell rings
At the end of the day
She tries to hide
The fact that she wants to stay

Alone in her bed
She's trying to sleep
While her parents let out
All the anger they keep
With each tear
A bruise is made
Not able to heal
Not able to fade
Screaming inside
For the pain to leave
She begs for less sorrow
On her knees she pleads:

God heal me now
Or take my soul
Take all the broken pieces
And make me whole
I pray to you now
To be on my side
Pray you to take
All the bruises I hide

Her dad is gone
But the pain is still there
She lives alone
With noone to care
Another beer
Another man
From all her problems
Her mother ran
Sitting at night
But no longer alone
With every touch
He chills her to the bone
Within his grasp
A tear is stolen
With every night
Her heart is broken

The girl is lost
She cannot be found
She's lost her way
She's fallen down
She does a line
Across the glass
Fixes the needle
Injects it fast
Tossed to the side
By a man with a grin
Not even caring
That she was raped again
Drowned on the inside
Torn on the out
Too tired to fight
Too tired to shout
The knife in her hand
His blood on the steel
The only way out
Is to kill or be killed

A rose on its own
On a cold winter day
Frozen inside
Her life taken away
Another red scar
Formed on her arm
Another cry unheard
Another child harmed
Another angel fallen
At the hands of her life
Another girl fell
By the blade of the knife

"Another day in this so called life, means another day at the mercy of this knife."
