(Cause it was really getting lazy).....I came home so irritated....but I had surgery on it just over two weeks ago now to correct it (For a second time) Sooooo NO MORE COMMENTS lol |

Yes it is rude I dont blame you...I would get the same comments not just from strangers but from my own family. Some people would tell me oh you are not fat even now when I know I am not that big anymore after losing a great majrity of the weight I put on from pregnancy I still feel like I am fat and the reason for it is all the comments from those people who felt teh need to point out what I already knew. Dont worry about them though you are a great person and size whether big or small is not what really matters it is who you are inside that really counts and those people who feel the need to tell others how fat they are are really the ugly ones inside. Some people are just plain rude, have no sense of compassion or anything. Now as far as being pg and some saying are ya having twins, LOL, I'd would have just said, No hon, triplets, LOL and let it go at that. But I KNOW I'm over weight, I dont need someone telling me, I DO have two eyes. They dont understand that it can hurt our feelings. But if people want to be rude, I just say something crazy back at them such as NO FAT is the lady in the circus, I'm just pleasingly plump, if ya dont believe me ask my husband! I mean I wear a size 11 levis. SURE I'd like to wear a size eight, but gee who wouldnt. LOL My main problem is I look better, my face that is, out of pictures than I do in pictures as I was born with wry neck which is a thing that pulls your neck and face, jaw muscels down to one side, and no matter HOW I pose for a pic, you can see the flaws so bad. If ya dont believe me, go look at my pic on my web site. I dont put many of them up. So when someone says something about my looks, its something I cant help and then it does hurt my feelings. BUT then I tell them, I was born this way, whats your excuse. LOL |

Ugh, I absolutely hate when that happens... hey, though at least you were preggers at the time she thought you were having twins.. I have had total strangers come up to me at times and ask me when my baby is due. And I while totally embarrassed I have to say, "Uh, Im not pregnant" and usually they just walk away without saying sorry or anything. lol... But ya know, I may not be the ideal size in some people's eyes, but I am happy with who I am, and if they dont like it, I tell them to just look the other direction. *winks* Sorry you went through that though. *Huge hugs to ya sis* |

This being a topic that is very near and dear to my heart, I know just how you feel. I've been overweight most of my life. I can usually brush it off when it is a little kid who doesn't know any better saying it, but when it's an adult or a teenager, watch out! I'm not nice or quiet with my response. One time I had a woman at a restaurant refuse to seat me in a booth, she said that I was "too fat for the booth" and was afraid I would become stuck like another patron had. I told her that I had eaten there before and was nowhere close to being stuck in the booths. Argh! That made me so mad. I reported her to her manager, and sent a letter to corporate headquarters for that one. Also, why is it that when I go shopping for clothes, they think that fat people need to wear the brightest colors on earth and only flower or leaf prints? It is very hard to find "normal" clothes for big people. I have to shop at stores that only sell plus sized clothing in order to find anything without flowers on them. I don't want to advertise my fat anymore than it already is, sheesh! |

Those are good points but some people will never change. I had a lawyer walk right up to me real close and stare at my trach and oxygen and asked me how I breathe. I told him with my trach and the portable oxygen but again he asked the same question. I guess we each thought the other was pretty stupid. lol. |
