You don't have to drag it, just pinch it where it is and take out |

I don't wear them but my daughter does. I would think the more moisture the better. Call your eye doctor. |

Just use the tip of your finger, to see if you can find it, move it towards the center, and then pinch it, and it should come out |

Try closing your eye and rubbing it, then opening it and pinching the lens out. It worked for me when I couldnt get mine out |

Oh, Im glad you got them out...Normally, I drag mine to the bottom of my eyelid and when it crunches I grab it...everyone has there own way of grabbing them to get em out. It will take practice just be patient when you can. |

LOL I'm sorry but this reminds me of when my mom started her contacts...she was bawling cause she couldn't get them out (or one of them) So she tells me to get it out...so I try no luck...so dad and I run out to find one of the suction cup things...WELL they don't make thise anymore cause people would plunge their eyes til they had ulcers. ANYHOW...turns out the lense fell out a LONG time ago and we had been trying to remove her cornea the whole time LOL...she did finally get the hang of it. Glad you got them out |

Does this happen a lot to people because if it does, maybe I shouldn't get contacts. I am kind of scared! |

If they're soft lenses, the more moisture, the better off you are. If they gave you that re-wetting fluid, flood your eyes with it. What I would do is roll my eyes up, and using my middle finger, put it on the lens pulling it down toward the bottom of my eye. (Kind of like you do when you're trying to remove an eyelash). That's what worked for me. It takes a few days to get used to it...but maybe tomorrow revert back to glasses or something, give your eyes a break for a little while. That and see where your nurse got her degree. Tweezers? Even when I was volunteering at a hospital as a candystriper and thought I lost a contact lens in my eye, all they were going to do to get it out in the ER was a simple saline flush. Did she want to see if she could scare you enough that the lens would pop out on its own? Take care, hope you feel better. --Christine |

K, look, it's hard. People who have contacts forget how difficult it was at first. I have had contacts for 6 years and it's so simple now. Here is some advice, wet them, like put drops in when you take them out. Because when your eye gets so dry it can be harder. Second, don't freak out okay? When you stress out and get frusterated it makes it even harder. Take a break, close your eyes and sit back. Then calmy do it. Third, you know how the dr tells you to pull them to the bottom of your eye and drag it out? Don't. I pull mine to the side of my eye (away from my nose) and it just rolls out. Lastly, I am assuming that they are soft lenses because you said they fliped inside out. If they are, count your lucky stars. You think this is bad? try hard ones. Thats what I started out with and promptly switched to soft. If you do in fact have hard, I reccomend switching to soft. Hang in there. |
