My Path .......deathletgo....my first poem

I walk down a golden path.
The path is made from many small stones placed together.
I look down and to my suprize I see that the stones hold the essence of past lifes.
Walking with my head down I see inside each stone a life lived before mine walking down the same path.
As I keep walking the lives in the stones get longer as does the path.
People filled with courosity, purpouse, and valour.
Beating the wilderniss away and leaving there mark.
A trail for the rest of us to follow.
As I see this my soul grows warm with understanding.
As I start to understand the path turns a courner.
I stop dead in my tracks on the last golden stone.
My fathers.
I look at the wilderness in front of me.
So deep it chills the heart.
Not a single ray of light penetrates the thinkness of this jungle.
I sigh.
A voice echos from the beyond.
HAVE YOU COME THIS FAR JUST TO QUIT?
I respond.
But the other was so easy.
A great rore of laphter echoes threw the trees.
DO YOU THINK THEY THOUGHT SO WHEN THEY WERE LAYING THE PATH FOR YOU?
Like a knife the words perice my heart.
YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO DO IT ALONE.
I looked down and a machete layed next to my fathers stone.
I picked it up and looked into the shiney blade.
In it I saw everyone I knew, everyone I loved, all smiling back at me.
The strength they gave me flowed threw my vains giveing me hope.
And then the challenge was made, like a wisper in the wind the words swam threw my mind.
HOW FAR WILL YOU GO?
With my wepon of love by my side I started to make a new path.
A path that no one has yet to see.
My path.
