This isnt all that uncommon...There is a disease, i forget what its called but your brain kind of goes into hibernation. You dont breathe, eat, drink or anything. And you can wake up months later. |

There is a form of Epilepsy that does this to you as well. You have a seizure and all your functions shut down and you appear dead and there is no way to tell otherwise. There is one woman in the UK who has awoken 3 times in the city morgue because she had one of these seizures. Creepy stuff...<RegretfulHalo> |

I've also heard that after a person does die, it takes time for all the systems of the body to shut down, and reflexes can occur, causing twitching, spasms, etc. Even on occasion, something that would appear to be breathing. Still, to be given back hope must be devastating. I've also heard of the conditions mentioned here. May that family find comfort, and may Mr. Padilla finally rest in peace, at 94, he deserves it. --Christine |

your right about the reflexes and stuff christine..i went on a field trip to a funeral home once (yeah a field trip) lol and the guy who worked there said one time he was working on this woman and he bent down to pick somthing up and her arm had some kind of reflex or somthing and it hit him in the head..AHHHH |
