Yeah I got both those movies yesterday, so here's MY take on them:

============ School of Rock ============

Well I just HAD to go see this movie, it looked really good, it good really good feedback from my friends, so I just HAD to catch it (lol). At first I was like, Jack Black??!?! SHallow Hal? That movie was terrible, so I had my doubts, however the movie was REALLY good... Funny, extremely unrealistic. BUt hey, that doesn't matter. The kids played great roles, in general it was great. My rating out of 10 I give it a 9.

============= Mona Lisa Smile =============

One word to start of *YAWN* ...

I was expecting one of those meaningfull tense, movies, a bit like good will hunting, except being from a 'females-perspective' .. in general the movie was boring, bassically the plot goes, these girls who are in school who are very smart, but all end up getting married, and their teacher explains their potential and bla bla bla. I was bored..honestly i don't reccomend it. One thing that i found interesting was seeing the guy who plays in "THat 70's show" lol .. My rating out of 10 I give it a 6

***** This would be MY review...therefore, WHAT I THINK!

Date: 1/4/2004 1:15:00 AM  From Authorid: 53961    All the smoking in Mona Lisa Smile really upset me and I am a big Julia Roberts fan. That ruined it for me like Uptown Girl with the sex. This was not even hinted to in the previews. I love Dakota Fanning too!

Date: 1/5/2004 4:05:00 PM  From Authorid: 29387    I feel the same about Mona Lisa Smile. The acting was on par, but it just didn't hold together. Seemed like a movie that is desperate for an Oscar, but won't get one.
Date: 1/5/2004 6:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 62095    I LOVED Shallow Hal and I also loved School Of Rock. They are both really good movies, but I really like Jack Black.
