I was watching a show recently where they listed the number one movies for 2003. I was just curious, what was your favorite one and why?

Thinking back I guess my favorite would have to be "Second Hand Lions". It was such an awesome movie and I look forward to the video coming out. Right behind that would have to be "Radio". These are two different classes, so I guess it would be "Lions" for a comedy and "radio" for a drama.

Wow, as I get to thinking I also really liked "Elf" too! Too many choices!

The following is a list of the movies released in 2003:

Date: 1/3/2004 8:01:00 PM  From Authorid: 33401    The Lord Of The Rings: Return of The King has been the best I've seen so far. I saw it today and absoulutly feel in love with it. The movie left me on the edge of my seat. it was totally worth seeing Love,
Date: 1/3/2004 8:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 51531    I liked three a lot. Final Destination 2, LOTR: Return of the King, and Old School. All very different from each other and all very good.
Date: 1/3/2004 8:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 62509    The last Samuria really touched me

Date: 1/3/2004 9:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 17014    LOTR of course!!
Date: 1/3/2004 10:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 61677    Return of the King because I have been a fan of Tolkiens for almost 20 years and the movie was wonderfully done. I also like Pirates of the Caribbean because Johnny Depp was wonderful as Jack Sparrow.
Date: 1/4/2004 1:04:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53961    I just watched the TV shows where they judge movie and their picks didn't include any of the above. What do they know?
Date: 1/4/2004 9:49:00 AM  From Authorid: 61894    Pirates definetly for best actor (Depp), LOTR for best battle scene, X2 for best effects, 28 Days Later for best horror on a minimal budget, Daredevil for best job at making Ben Aflic look like a action star... - CanuckBeast
Date: 1/5/2004 9:04:00 AM  From Authorid: 54968    Pirates of the Carribean, Cheaper by the Dozen, Elf, Wrong Turn, Uptown Girls, Legally Blonde 2.
Date: 1/5/2004 1:07:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53961    I liked Cheaper by the Dozen, Elf and Uptown Girls but was upset at the way that Uptown Girls was advertised as a nice, fun, family type movie and then came out with this nanny and this guy's sexual behavior before it goes into Dakota's part which was fine. I thought it was misrepresented falsely. I was ready to buy it until I saw it. I like Dakota a lot. She has a promising future. I hope she is given more parts in movies that are more G or PG.
Date: 1/10/2004 1:40:00 AM  From Authorid: 53054    LOTR for sure, with out a doubt!
Date: 2/4/2004 8:26:00 PM  From Authorid: 57232    From JANUARY my favorite was Final Destination 2, I wasn't expecting too much from it and it was actually good and entertaining. FEBRUARY How to Lose a Guy in 10 days. I love Matthew McConaughey and the man has talent that I wish was more appreciated, I don't care much for Kate Hudson, but thought that this was a good pairing. MARCH Bringing Down the House, hopefully this is signaling the comeback of a true comic genius sardonic wit, Mr. Steve Martin and Queen Latifah has a future as a singer that can actually sing and although not greatly reviewed by the critics, I really enjoyed A View from the Top, Gwyneth Paltow is a true talent. APRIL None of these stuck out to me. I want to see A Mighty Wind, I love those movies with the cast of Best of Show and Waiting for Guffman
Date: 2/4/2004 8:36:00 PM  From Authorid: 57232    MAY The commercials for Bruce Almighty didn't look promising to me, and I saw it and loved it. I've been a fan of Jim Carrey's since an 80's vampire teen comedy called Once Bitten and then he was the 'white guy' on In Living Color and I think Jennifer Aniston has a good post Friends friend. The Italian Job was really entertaining movie and well put together cast. Donald Sutherland, Charlize Theron, Mark Wahlberg, Seth Green etc, great script, what else can I say. X2 sequel wise it was great, loved the intro of Nightcrawler and actually liked it better than the first Xmen and loved how Jean Grey had a lot more to do in this one. JUNE nothing really stuck out to me. 28 Days Later wasn't bad but I think the excitement over it was mainly over the lack of good ones over the years so an adequate one got lots of accolade, but I didn't think it lived up to hype. JULY there was a Battle Royal 2..have to look into that...Pirates Pirates Pirates. My favorite actor Mr. Depp, that pirate stole himself a movie!
Date: 2/4/2004 8:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 57232    AUGUST-A very Brady sequel?? Some titles showing up in here are gaffes? Nothing from August was spectacular. American Wedding gave some laughs. SEPTEMBER- Cabin Fever now this is going to get it's due, it's already induction in my opinion into Cult Classics land, a great movie that has been given a bad rap by critics undeservedly so. This movie is not as terrible as people make it out to be. Underworld is quite possibly one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life. OCTOBER-I was missing you QT, but it was worth the wait. Great movie my man, great movie. Now wiggle that toe. Mystic River a true actors showcase. Sean Penn is my 2nd favorite actor he never lets me down. I can't wait until I see School of Rock, I still haven't seen it yet. NOVEMBER-Haven't seen any of them, but would like to see Elf, 21 Grams and Bad Santa. DECEMBER-Monster, the movie was terrible, it was aimless, has no direction, but and the big BUT you will never forget Theron's performance, worth it solely for her performance. the best I've seen since Ellen Burstyn's in Requiem for a Dream. LOTR, wasn't my favorite of the trilogy (liked the 2nd the best) but it was a fitting send off and was happy to see more Sam screen time but wished for just a glimmer of screen legend of Christopher Lee, his absence was just uncalled for.
Date: 2/4/2004 8:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 57232    I might of not seen Lost in Translation listed here anywhere. I really enjoyed that one. There was a lot on here that I haven't seen yet. First to come to mind is Big Fish among others. So based on my answers, my tops are.....
Date: 2/4/2004 8:53:00 PM  From Authorid: 57232    Final Destination 2, How to lose a guy in 10 days, Bringing Down the House, A View from the Top, Bruce Almighty, Italian Job, X2, Pirates of the Carribean, Cabin Fever, Kill Bill vol 1., Mystic River, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King and Lost in Translation that I might of not seen listed.
