You can try a place that rents for a month but they're usually in the thousands also, april might be a little cheaper but sometimes they raise the rates during certain weeks for spring break. You many be able to do it for 2-3 thousand if you find a cheap place outside of LA. |

it depends on what part of cali...northern or southern? I'd say for a cheap motel you are looking at anywhere from $50+70 a night I lived in Sacramento and stayed in the ghetto motel of the century for 2 days before I moved to Utah and paid $65 a night....yikes... |

The best thing to do is to get one line, and do a run of motels that rent by the month. There are also places that just rent rooms out to people from their houses. Then all you have to do is figure out your food costs and entertainment cost. OR if your really high on adventures, grab a blanket and stay on the beach. |

I feel for ya....it's hard to find good places to stay when you aren't familiar with the city you are going to . I would suggest you look online...find some in your price range and then post here and see if anybody is familiar witht he ones you are interested in staying at. That way you know if it's in a good area, if it's not too seedy etc. I myself live in the Long Beach area so probably wouldn't be of much help to ya...but good luck! |
