As we close the door on another year let's take a moment to remember the memories that we shared, the losses we experienced and the growth we have experienced.
I went to the funeral today of a 46 year old mother of six and wife of 23 years. She had been battling cancer, but contracted pneumonia and her immune system was not strong enough to fight it.
I lost my good friend Virginia this year and my son-in-law lost his brother.
And many of us here remember the loss of our dear Karen.
We never know how long we will be here or what challenges we will face while here. This is something we don't have control over.
But, we do have control over how we will handle a particular situation or treat a certain person.
Let us all resolve that in the coming year to smile a little more and frown a little less. Who knows who might need that smile?
Love, Hugs and Butterfly Kisses to my special USM friends,
