It's okay to vent a little! To me, that just seems really unfair. If it were me, I wouldn't want to work there but I hope they give you a day off soon so maybe you won't have to quit. If you do quit I wish you the best!! Oh yeah and maybe you could go to the boss and tell him/her that if they don't give you a vacation then your quiting..they might be a lil scared and let ya have one LoL   |

Well, since you're doing the work of three persons it's only fair you get exactly three times the pay, not to mention the doubletime pay you should be getting for working for so many days non-stop. My advice, start the new year with a new job, and when you do find one tell them about it, how it's not worth working so much and not being able to see your children, if they're smart enough not to let you go they should give you a raise at the very least.  |

Been there and done that, we had over two hundred room in blythe california motel, but when the new management came in all but FOUR of us quit work. WEll five actually as shiela did the laundry. but that was over two hundred rooms a day for four girls. Two of us took the downstairs and two the upstairs. We didnt get done until about eight at night, made some dang good money two weeks while they were hiring other people. But geeze if we were not tired, not one day off. Tell them they need to hire a few more people PRONTO or they will find themselves cleaning the rooms their selves.  |

Oh yeah. You go girl. You get yourself another jobby and show them how unappreciative they are. I can't believe that newbie took "vacations" already and your working so many days. I dunno. I think there's a law against that. If there isn't there ought to be.  |

I am in the same sunken boat. I used to have a partner, but he up and left for Miami (about 12 hour drive from here). So now I'm left with all the work (I haven't taken a day off in over a month, and some nights I just don't leave). I keep saying that I'm going to get another job, but I never do. SO take advice from me, go, run, as fast as you can get another job before you just start excepting the extra work. It's not fair to you, your kids or anyone really, well except maybe your boss and then its overly fair .....but at any rate, well they say not to fix it if its not broken, well I can't speak for you but my jobs not broken, its dead .....deathletgo  |
