I love watching the I Love the 80's series on Vh1, and the I love the 70's, so you know the 90's is inevitable, so what do you think that they will include? These are things I'm pretty sure that they will mention. In random order......

Beverly Hills 90210, Dr. Dre's the Chronic, Blossom, Furby, Nirvana (and the death of Kurt Cobain, Nine Inch Nails, TLC, Pearl Jam, Melrose Place, Bubblegum Pop, Marilyn Manson, Silence of the Lambs, Space Jam, Conan O'Brien, Rollerblading, Chris Farley, Adam Sandler movies (Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore), Clueless, Prodigy, Spice Girls..........

I know I'm leaving out several, what do you think that they will talk about?

Date: 12/29/2003 2:16:00 AM  From Authorid: 52746    I think it would also include cover versions of music that was playing from the 60s, 70s, 80s etc. It would include flashback of fashion from the 60s and 70s and lots of repeats on TV from those times, too. The 90s, I feel was a "revival" age. Very few new and original things came from the 90s.
Date: 12/29/2003 2:42:00 AM  From Authorid: 46530    The "I Love" series in the UK was on BBC2, and already did the 90s. It included most of the stuff mentioned, so people are fairly spot on.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/ilove/ is the i love website

Date: 12/29/2003 8:14:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Meow Mix Lover! I hated Murphy Brown too, my mom was so into it, I think I saw something about that on the 89' one but I'm not sure. Mariah! I really loved her before she became a gutterslut. She still has so much talent, like Christina Aguilera, but they are so cheap. They look like something you'd find in the poor side of town, not even the high priced ones. I loved 'Someday' the most. I really loved her music up to a certain point. Johnny Carson that is a good one, I always remember him crying when Bette sang to him.
Date: 12/29/2003 8:16:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Sabriel, I never watched Rocko I remembered the theme song though, I was more of a Ren and Stimpy gal myself and then of course there was my buddies...Beavis and Butt-head! I loved that show. Oh yeah the Power Rangers, they should definately be mentioned. They were everywhere!
Date: 12/29/2003 8:19:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Mad MC I really got into that, I was strange though, I was allover the charts, I guess that's why I love me Chili Peppers so much. I guess they should show some scenes from the movie Singles with Matt Dillon, that movie always reminds me of grunge
Date: 12/29/2003 8:20:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    MmixL...everyone hide...the Macarena...oh no!
Date: 12/29/2003 8:21:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Sporti Angel I don't remember that one, was it the Lawrence brothers? It's something I should look up.
Date: 12/29/2003 8:22:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Firecracker, it's strange that the same exact scandal is popping about now. I remember also when the song Black or White came out, it was a big big deal and how they had a world premiere for it. I don't watch MTV much anymore, but still I don't think they have big premieres like that anymore.
Date: 12/29/2003 8:24:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    RedEye's got me covered, they just keep popping and popping. Di's death was in 97' I think. I'll never forget it because it hit one of my friend's personally. She was raised in London and it was really hard for her to cope.
Date: 12/29/2003 8:25:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Kelsey 77' When the first one came out I went to Pizza Hut like old times (well not the first, well it is the first Phantom Menace, just not the first to come out period) to get the toy!
Date: 12/29/2003 8:27:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Angel Princess, I sure did watch me some Clarissa! I really liked Sam, and how he'd always have a guitar riff playing for him coming in through the window. And Nick also had a teen soap I used to watch called Fifteen and had a guy on there that I thought was HOT-tay, his name was Ryan Reynolds and he still has a career now.
Date: 12/29/2003 8:28:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Red Eye....definately NO DOUBT! I remember Just a Girl and how much I loved that, and some girls even in my high school wore that red dot on their faces too.
Date: 12/29/2003 8:29:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    That is true Sam Spade, maybe they will cover that all just by talking about the movie Dazed and Confused (it was just set in the 70's though)
Date: 12/29/2003 8:30:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Thanks Farleys, I'm definately going to check that out.
Date: 12/29/2003 8:31:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Froggy Baby, I only did that a few times, that sort of reminded me of another trend that went on in my highschool, it was wearing overalls with one strap off. There was also sheer sleeves
Date: 12/29/2003 8:32:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    oh yeah, they are definately going to talk about some Monica.
Date: 12/29/2003 8:33:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Snowy Moon, the thing about Savage Garden that I'll always remember, I personally wasn't a fan, but my friend Emily liked harder music but....that slipped in with her, we always thought that was cute. She 'fessed' up one day!
Date: 12/29/2003 8:36:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Here are some more random ones I thought about, the movie 'Kids', 'Reality Bites', the song 'Popular' by Nada Surf, Dawson's Creek, Friends, Felicity, In Living Color, Phil Hartman's death, Aerosmith popular videos w/ Alicia Silverstone (Crazy, Cryin' (also w/ Liv Tyler) and Amazin'), Jerry Maguire, Sliders, X-Files
Date: 12/29/2003 8:39:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    D'oh! I'm looking at the site that Ad/Farleys suggested and right on I forgot about one of my favorites...Pretty Woman! and not one, but how can you forget, Home Alone. My favorite movie is True Romance, but I doubt that's memorable to some. I thought of another that was big that might be mentioned, Trainspotting
Date: 12/29/2003 10:28:00 PM  From Authorid: 38119    Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan.

Date: 1/2/2004 5:18:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Oh yeah Blue Hue! They even made a TV movie about it, I think they made 2 (one was a comedy spoof I think with Julie Brown!
